ECGs are vital bedside tests used to assess your heart’s health. This non-invasive procedure helps diagnose conditions like palpitations, light-headedness, shortness of breath, and high blood pressure. It provides key insights into heart function for accurate diagnosis and treatment.

Why Might You Need an ECG?

We recommend ECG testing if you experience:

  • Heart palpitations or irregular heartbeats
  • Chest pain or discomfort
  • Shortness of breath
  • Dizziness or light-headedness
  • High blood pressure
  • As part of a routine health check

What to Expect

  • Before booking: You can book an ECG directly. If you are experiencing acute chest pain and are concerned about a heart attack, do not book an appointment. Call 112 or 999 straight away.
  • The test: Your ECG will be performed on site and handed to a doctor for review.
  • Your results: We will keep a scan of your ECG on our system and give you the paper reading for your own records.
